The opening whistle for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has begun. After a long pause due to a pandemic that hit/hits the world, the Brazilian team returned to practice. The team faces Bolivia, next Friday, in São Paulo, and then travels to Peru to face the home team, in matches valid for the World Cup Qualifiers. Coach Tite already counts with practically all players. This Tuesday morning, Alex Telles, Bruno Guimarães, Phillippe Coutinho, and Matheus Cunha, joined. Defenders Danilo, midfielders Fabinho and Casemiro, and strikers Rodrygo and Roberto Firmino are still expected. Altogether coach Tite has 23 players, three newcomers: Bruno Guimarães, Gabriel Menino, and Matheus Cunha.
Neymar and Thiago Silva, both athletes of Paris Saint-Germain, are the names that most often wore the teams called by the coach. The first has 101 matches and 61 goals, which makes him the top acting scorer for the national team. Defender Thiago Silva has 89 appearances, in addition to being the oldest player in the squad at 36 years. Real Madrid striker Rodrygo is the youngest with just 19.
The Qualifiers will impact 18 Brazilian clubs, who will lose players during the games to the ten South American squads fighting for a place in the next World Cup. Atlético-GO (1), Atlético-MG (3), Atlético-PR (1), Botafogo (1), Corinthians (2), Flamengo (4), Palmeiras (4), Santos (1), São Paulo (1), are the times that will yield players for the next rounds.
