Alviverde and Colorado await a draw that will define upcoming clashes.

In a great phase, Thiago Galhardo came from the bench and opened the scoring. Rodnei expanded to Inter, and for Atlético-GO, Júnior Brandão reduced the difference. Botafogo yet again disappointed the fans. The goalless draw against Cuiabá, at Arena Pantanal, resulted in the team elimination, which now only has the Brazilian Championship to compete in the season. The alvinegro tried hard and had more ball possession and almost three times the amount of goal kicks of the hosts, but the ball did not rock the net. On the Cuiabá side, the party is on. The team managed to advance to the quarterfinals for the first time in history. The team is also the first in the state of Mato Grosso to reach this stage of the competition. The Mixto in 1989 and Luverdense, in double dose, 2013/2018, were the ones who came closest but ended up eliminated in the octaves. In addition, like Internacional, the advance to the next phase meant R$3.3 million reais to the club’s balance.

Thursday the ball rolls for two more games. Grêmio goes to Serra Gaúcha to face Juventude. Palmeiras receives RB Bragantino, at Allianz.

Cuiabá and Internacional await a draw that will decide the matches of the quarterfinals of the Brazil Cup. The draw will take place next Friday, November 6, at CBF headquarters.
