São Paulo duo stumbles away from home. In Maracanã, the rubro-negro won and waits for the next opponent to be decided tomorrow in a draw at the CBF headquarters.

After the overwhelming defeat against São Paulo at Maracanã, Flamengo needed to give an immediate response to the fans and prove that the page was turned. The 3-2 victory against Athletico-PR, secured the Gávea team at the quarterfinals of the Brazil Cup. Pedro (twice) and Michael, scored for the rubro-negro. For the Hurricane side, Erick and Bissoli scored. As Flamengo had already won the first leg by 1-0, the result was more than enough for the classification. In a great phase, Pedro reached 20 goals this season. On the other hand, the defensive sector remains a problem for coach Domènec Torrent.

In Minas Gerais, Corinthians again disappointed the fans. The 1-1 draw with América-MG was not enough, as the team had lost 1-0 in São Paulo. From a penalty, Fagner and Rodolfo rocked the nets at Independência. Now the team from São Paulo only has the Brazilian Championship ahead and should focus on it, since the situation is not good there also. The elimination escalated the tension at the Parque São Jorge team and for the coach Wagner Mancini, who since arriving at the club, still has not managed to be calm.

Like Corinthians, Santos is the other team that is now limited to the Brasileirão to compete, after being defeated by 1-0 to Ceará, in Fortaleza. With the goalless draw in the first game, any win would qualify both teams. The elimination came in a beautiful goal from the striker Vinícius, who secured Ceará in the next phase. At the end of the match, Santos still had two players sent off.

Today, two more games rock the Copa do Brasil. Palmeiras hosts RB Bragantino, at Allianz Arena. In the confrontation in Bragança Paulista, Alviverde won and won 3 to 1. The other game will be between Juventude and Grêmio, in Caxias do Sul. In the Arena, the tricolor gaucho won by 1 to 0. will be decided in a draw tomorrow, at 11:30 am, Brasília time, at CBF headquarters.
