In Paraguay, Grêmio faces Guaraní in the last match of the first round.
This Thursday night will be special for coach Renato Gaúcho. In addition to completing another game in the round of 16 of the Libertadores, the coach will reach the 383 games in charge of the team, matching the record of Oswaldo Rollo, aka Foguinho. The match against Guaraní will be at 21:30, Brasília time. Grêmio will not have Kannemann, Alisson, Maicon and Leonardo, being the Argentine the only defender missing from the starting lineup. The Paraguayan club will not have left-back Benítez due to a muscular problem. In attack, Bobadilla has recovered from injury, but should start on the bench, with Fernando Fernández in the starting lineup.
Playing in Ecuador, the list of absences had little to no effect on the Palmeiras team. The victory by 3 to 1 over Delfín, gave alviverde a good advantage, they can lose by a goal difference in game 2. Gabriel Menino, Rony and Zé Rafael scored for the São Paulo club. Ramirez, again, scored for Delfín. The next duel will be next Wednesday in São Paulo. For this game, coach Abel Ferreira should be able to rely on the return of some athletes.
Two more games shook the night. Also in Ecuador, Independiente del Valle was 0-0 with Nacional (URU). In the other match, Libertad (PAR) won 3 to 1 Jorge Wlistermann (BOL), in Paraguay.
