Pep Guardiola’s commanders reach their 19th consecutive victory

Nobody holds Manchester City.  The prey of the time was Borussia Monchengladbach, for the round of 16 of the Champions League.  Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus rocked the nets in the 2-0 win in Budapest, Hungary.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the game was in Eastern Europe under Borussia, as the German government did not allow the English to enter.

City reached the record for consecutive wins, now 19, and is also the English club with the most consecutive away wins (12) in all competitions.  The previous record was exactly from City between May and November 2017. Holder, Gabriel Jesus reached the mark 16 goals in the Champions League.  The striker joins Romário as one of the Brazilians who scored the most in the competition.

Manchester City are in a very comfortable situation.  To lose that spot, they will need to be defeated at home by two goals difference from 3 to 1 (or 2 to 0 followed by overtime and penalties).  The return match will be on the 16th, in England.
