In overtime, Barcelona beat Sevilla 3-0 and guarantee a place in the Copa Rey final

With excitement until the end, Catalunya team reaches the 43rd decision of the tournament

What seemed unlikely happened.  Playing at the Camp Nou, Barcelona managed to take advantage of two goals from Sevilla and secured the spot for another Copa Rey final. As in the first game Sevilla had won 2-0, it was up to Barça to try to take that advantage and follow where I live in the competition.

Sevilla almost qualified, since they only lost 1-0 – Dembelé scored in a beautiful shot – until the 49th minute of the 2nd half and had even missed a penalty (Ter Stegen took Ocampos’s penalty).  However, Piqué scored with a header and took the game into overtime.  With one more on the pitch, as Reges was sent off in the final stages, Barcelona reached the third goal at the head of Braithwaite and secured the classification.

Now, the Catalunya team awaits the winner of the confrontation between Levante and Athletic Bilbao, this Thursday, in Valencia, to know who will be the rival in the decision.  In the first game, there was a 1-1 draw.

Barcelona is the biggest winner of the Copa Rey and can isolate itself even more in the leadership of the tournament.  The team has 30 achievements and 12 runners-up.  Second is Athletic Bilbao with 24 trophies and 14 vices.  Real Madrid is the third club to have won the most, with 19 wins and 20 times a silver medal.
