Even with one less, Porto is safe and eliminates Juventus

Sérgio Oliveira scores twice in the 3-2 defeat and guarantees the Portuguese classification

Again, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus got in the way.  Just like last season, the Old Lady failed to pass the round of 16 of the competition.  The victory by 3 to 2 achieved in overtime, was not enough for the Italians due to the criterion of goal away, since in the first game Juve had lost by 2 to 1.

Porto came out ahead after Sergio Oliveira’s penalty kick.  In the second half, Chiesa twice turned to Juventus.  Mehdi Taremi took the second yellow and was expelled at the beginning of the second stage, which made life difficult for the Portuguese.  With the 2 to 1 repeating, the game went to overtime, and again, the star of Sério Oliveira shone, which left everything the same after the free kick.  Shortly thereafter, Rabiot put the Old Lady back in front, with his head, after a corner kick.  Juventus were pushing all the time, but Pepe and goalkeeper Marchesín missed nothing, being instrumental in the team’s memorable classification.

Juventus’ lack of creativity became evident when he started playing with an extra man.  In addition, the player Cristiano Ronaldo had a poor performance in both clashes and passed blank in both Portugal and Italy, although he has an average of almost one goal per game in the season.  Juventus now focus on the Italian’s deca, however the mission is not the easiest.  The team occupies the third position and is 10 points behind the leader Inter Milan.
