Northeast Cup: Ceará and Bahia decide who raises the trophy of the regional tournament

With the advantage of the tie, alvinegro goes in search of the tri, already tricolor, tries the fourth championship

The ball will roll at 16h, at Arena Castelão, in Fortaleza, for the second game of the final of the Northeast Cup between Ceará and Bahia. In the first leg, Vozão won 1-0 and now a draw is enough to get another title of the competition. Bahia remains to win by two or more goals difference to be champion. Any win by a goal leads to a penalty shootout.

Coach Guto Ferreira will have almost maximum strength for the duel. The only absentee is midfielder Charles, who was sent off in the first leg in Salvador. Pedro Naressi will be the replacement. On the other hand, the right-back Gabriel Dias who served suspension, is back in the team. Vozão comes packed by the great moment that it lives. There are 13 unbeaten games, with the detail that has not conceded a single goal in the last six rounds of Nordestão.

Bahia, on the other hand, tries to break the taboo over Ceará. In the other two times that the teams faced each other in decisions, the alvinegro was champion. For the next duel, coach Dado Cavalcanti does not have three players who are part of the starting lineup: right-back Nino Paraíba, defender Luiz Otávio and midfielder Patrick de Lucca, all suspended. If in the defensive part the team will undergo changes, in the attack the trio formed by Rossi, Rodriguinho and Gilberto is guaranteed. Shirt number 9 is the top scorer in the Northeast Cup, with seven goals scored.

If they win the title, Bahia will reach the fourth trophy of the Copa do Nordeste, drawing with the biggest rival, Vitória, who has already raised the cup of the competition four times. Ceará, on the other hand, can reach the third title of the tournament and match Sport and Bahia itself. Campinense, Fortaleza, Santa Cruz, América de Natal and Sampaio Corrêa, complete the list with just one achievement.
