Brazil meets Argentina two months after losing Copa América

Teams face off now for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers

Two months after the Copa América decision – with a happy ending for the Argentines -, Brazil and Argentina face each other again in a late game of the sixth round of the Qatar 2022 Cup Qualifiers, which should have happened in March of this year. The match will be at 4 pm (GMT), at Neo Química Arena, in São Paulo.

The game is also another opportunity to see another duel between Neymar and Messi, club mates again, this time at Paris Saint-Germain. It will be the sixth edition of the match, which has an advantage for the Alviceleste 10 shirt: three wins and two losses.

Leader, with 100% use (21 points in seven games), Brazil has a low for the confrontation this Sunday. Marquinhos will serve an automatic suspension in the defensive sector. Tite kept the mystery, but the tendency is for veteran Miranda to be the replacement, leaving Lucas Veríssimo and newcomer Léo Ortiz on the bench.

The team may still have other changes: Gerson and Everton Ribeiro started well in the match against Chile and could win a place in the places of Bruno Guimarães and Vinicius junior, respectively

Second place in the Qualifiers, with 15 points, Argentina is going through a good phase that has not been seen for a long time. Champion of the last Copa America, ending a 28-year fast, the team is unbeaten in 21 games, the second longest streak between national teams today (only behind Italy, with 35).

For a match soon, the coach Lionel Scaloni should keep a good part of the team that won in Venezuela by 3-1. Paredes tends to replace Guido Rodríguez and Romero returns to Pezzella’s place. Messi came to suffer a blow during the clash, but he doesn’t worry.
