Rubro-Negro beats Grêmio 2-0 and now takes Athletico
Just over six thousand fans were at Maracanã to watch Flamengo’s 2-0 victory against Grêmio in the return match of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil. With the duel practically defined, since in Porto Alegre the Rio de Janeiro club won by 4-0, the two teams entered with a mixed team.
In the semifinals, Rubro-Negro will face Athletico-PR, who eliminated Santos after winning twice 1-0. The matches will be between the 20th and 27th of October.
After a very low first half, coach Renato Gaúcho changed the team and it worked. Gabigol gave way to Pedro who scored both goals.
