Decision weekend in Serie B, four times in the G4 dispute

Avaí, CRB, CSA and Guarani fight for the last seat for access

The final round of Serie B promises to catch fire. That’s because four teams are fighting for a spot that gives access to the elite of Brazilian football: Avaí, CRB, CSA and Guarani. The teams are looking to team up with Botafogo (champion), Coritiba and Goiás, who already have their passport to the first division guaranteed. Coincidentally, the three teams are part of last year’s Serie A relegated list, but managed to return in the following season.

In a calmer situation, and currently in fourth place, with 61 points, Avaí is the only one of the four that depends only on him in the dispute for the spot. At Ressacada, time receives Sampaio Corrêa, who only meets the table. A single win is enough to secure the Island Lion in Serie A.

In fifth place and with 60 points, CRB is also a strong competitor for the vacancy. The team goes to Ponta Grossa, in Paraná, to face Operário, another time that only meets the table. The Alagoas win and hope for a stumbling block from Avaí.

Another Alagoas trying to return to the elite of football is the CSA. With 59 points and the current gender placed, at Estádio Rei Pelé, that is, he receives the flashlight and is already relegated to Brasil de Pelotas. The hosts win and cheer against rival CRB and against Avaí.

The most complicated situation is that of Guarani. The bugre has the same score as the CSA, but has one less victory (16 against 17) and therefore occupies seventh place in the table. The team goes to Nilton Santos to face the Botafogo champion, needing to win. In addition to the victory, a team needs to count on the stumbling blocks of the other three teams that are ahead.
