Serie B comes to an end with Avaí being the last club to stamp the passport for access

Leão joins Botafogo, Coritiba and Goiás in the quartet of times that will play Serie A

Serie B came to an end this Sunday (28) with the last round on fire. Four times they fought for the fourth place that would guarantee the passport stamped for Serie A: Avaí, CSA, CRB and Guarani. With the exception of Avaí, the others depended on a combination of results to achieve access, and join Botafogo, Coritiba and Goiás.

At Ressacada the game was exciting. Avaí did their homework and managed a last-minute turn on top of Sampaio Correa. The 2-1 victory guaranteed Leão fourth place and a hard-fought place for Serie A. That’s because CSA thrashed Brasil de Pelotas 4 x 0, and if Avaí didn’t win, it was the team from Alagoas that would go up.

Emotion also at the bottom of the table. Vitória and Remo joined Brasil de Pelotas and Confiança, which were already relegated. In Belém, Remo, which was enough to win to escape sticking, only tied with the already relegated Confiança. Better for Londrina, who beat Vasco 3-0 and escaped. Also playing at home, Vitória was defeated 1-0 by Vila Nova and could not escape.
