Ceará and CRB decide who will be the last semifinalist of the Northeast Cup

The winner of the match faces Sport. Another spot will be disputed between Fortaleza and Náutico

In a single match, Ceará and CRB enter the field this Thursday for the quarter-finals of the Northeast Cup. The ball rolls at 19:00 (Brasilia time) at Arena Castelão. The winner of the match faces Sport in the semifinal. On the other side of the bracket, Fortaleza and Náutico make the decisive duel.

Ceará had the best campaign in the group stage of the regional competition, reaching 18 points in the eight games played. Grandpa is undefeated in the competition. Won five and drawn three games. Alvinegro still has the best defense of the tournament, with only two goals conceded.

To reach the semifinals, Alvinegro counts on the good moment of striker Cléber, who scored in the last matches. Tiago Nunes must send the best he has to the field. Jael, Marcos Ytalo, Iury Castilho, Richard Coelho, Michel Macedo and Richard are in the DM. There are no suspensions.

CRB, on the other hand, finished the classification phase in fourth place in Group B, with 14 points. It even secured the spot in advance, but lost positions in the last rounds.

Marcelo Cabo still makes mysteries about the lineup. Marthã disputes position with Wallace, recently signed, and Diego Torres, in low position, is no longer the absolute starter. Rafael Longuine became the shadow of shirt 10 this season.

Suspended, defender Gilvan can be replaced by Iago Mendonça or Wellington Carvalho. Diego Ivo felt muscle pain in the game against Fortaleza and became a doubt. Former Grêmio player, midfielder Maicon, 36, was listed for the first time and has a chance to debut. As he has not acted since August of last year, the tendency is for him to stay in the bank.
