Brazilian women’s team thrash Argentina in the debut of the She Believes Tournament

Pia’s commanders beat South Americans 4-1 and now face the USA

It couldn’t be a better debut.  After a first half down, Brazil had another behavior in the second stage and managed to beat Argentina 4-1, in the first game of the She Believes Tournament, held in Orlando, USA.  Marta, from a penalty, scored the only goal of the first 45 minutes of the ball rolling.  On the way back from the break, Debinha, Adriana and Geyse, expanded.  Mariana Larroquette scored the only goal for the Argentines.

The game served as a test for Pia Sundhage, who played in all sectors of the field during the match.  The entries of Andressinha and Gayse were fundamental for the construction of the rout over the rival.

On Sunday, at 5 pm, Brasília time, the canarinhas face the Americans, current world champions and number one in the FIFA ranking.  The current coach of the Brazilian team knows the hosts well.  Under her command, the United States was two-time Olympic champion (Beijing 2008 and London 2012).
