Campinense beat Atlético-CE 3-1 and goes to the final of Serie D

Fox achieves unprecedented classification and now awaits the winner of Abc and Aparecidense

Campinense and Atlético-CE faced each other at Estádio Amigão, in Campina Grande, in search of the first place in the decision of the Series D of the Brazilian Nationals. With the ball rolling, Fox got the better of it and won 3-1. This was the team’s first time in a national decision.

In an open game with chances for both sides, the hosts opened the scoring with Anselmo. Still in the first half, after a beautiful rehearsed move, Erick Pulga tied the match.

In the second stage the game cooled down. Until Marcos Nunes, on the second pole, dived and, with his head, scored the goal that put Campinense in the final of Serie D at the Brazilian Nationals. In extra time, the shirt 23 took advantage of the counterattack and sealed the red-black spot in the final with a beautiful goal.

Remembering that despite the defeat, Atlético-CE ends the 2021 season with guaranteed access to Serie C, as the semifinalists have already achieved this feat by reaching this stage of the championship.

With the result, a Raposa now awaits the outcome of the duel between ABC and Aparecidense, who face each other today, at Frasqueirão, in Natal, and will define the second finalist. In the first game, the Goiás club beat the Potiguar by 4-2. Now, the Goiás team can lose by up to one goal difference to get the classification.
