Tampa Bay Buccaneers face Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills Kansas City Chiefs

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers face off for the first time in a playoff game. Two of the best quarterbacks in NFL history have always been at different conferences and have never dueled in the Super Bowl.  It is the first time in a playoff game and only the fourth quarterbacks have faced each other, with Brady taking the lead in the duel, scoring 2-1, the most recent in week 6 of this season when the Buccaneers imposed the first  defeat of the Packers by 38 to 10.

Rodgers only reached the Super Bowl once, when the Packers lifted the trophy in 2011. Brady on the other hand goes to his 14th Conference Final and seeks to extend the NFL champion rings to seven. Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Green Bay Packers,  at 5:05 pm Brasília time.  The match will define the NFC champion.

A duel that promises a lot of balance.  Two of the National Football League’s three best attacks in terms of points in the regular season of 2020. The Green Bay Packers led the league with 31.8 points scored on average, while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had 30.8 points scored per match.  Both defenses were also among the 13 best in the league in conceded points, the Bucs with the eighth best in this regard (22.2 suffered per match) and the Packers in 13th (23.1 taken by confrontation).

In the other duel, Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs face off, at 8:40 pm, in the AFC final.  Another duel that deserves special attention in the quarterbacks’ clash.  On the Chiefs’ side, defending champion Patrick Mahomes takes on Josh Allen.  The two are the most talented young quarterbacks in the NFL.

Both attacks were top 6 in the league on points.  The Bills were the runners-up in this regard in the regular season (31.3 points per match), while the Chiefs were in sixth (29.6 points per match).  And, also, we have two defenses that are out of the top 10 best in points conceded.  Kansas City averaged 22.6 per game, while the Bills yielded 23.4.  In terms of yards, the two defenses also yielded many, both averaging over 350 per game: 352.5 for the Bills and 358.3 for the Chiefs.

The Kansas City Chiefs try their first Super Bowl double since the New England Patriots between 2004 and 2005. The Bills, on the other hand, try to return to the NFL final after 26 years and win the league’s first champion trophy.
