Switching to decision was also decided
A draw held this Friday morning (6th) at the headquarters of the CBF, in Rio de Janeiro, defined the clashes of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil. The first games are scheduled for the 25th, 26th and 27th of August, while the return game is scheduled for the 31st (August) 1st and 2nd of September.

For the quarter-finals there was no splitting of pots, so all times can face each other. The draw also defined the switching of the semifinal and the final matches. Of the eight times they reach the quarterfinals, only Fortaleza has been in the competition since the beginning. Another six teams entered the third phase to participate in the Libertadores and Atlético-PR for having been added to the last Brazilian Nationals.
The times that reached this stage of the competition have already placed R$ 3.45 million. Whoever advances to the semifinals will receive another R$7.3 million. The champion’s grand prize is R$56 million, which will be added to the amounts already received for advancement in the competition. The runner up accumulates R$23 million from previous awards.
