Dispute for the second place of the pilots and the third of the constructors shake the last race of the year.

The 17th stage of the 2020 Formula 1 season promises to bring excitement to everyone.  With the title of Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes already guaranteed for a long time, it remained for the motorsport fans to turn their eyes to other duels that still make the tires of the tracks snore.  The Yas Marina circuit will take place next Sunday (12/13), at 10:10 am, Brasília time.  The track contains 5,554 meters and the winner will need 55 laps to take the top spot on the podium.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, in the Middle East, will define the runners-up runner-up that remains open.  Finnish Mercedes Valtteri Bottas currently occupies the position with 205 points.  The Dutchman Max Verstappen, from Red Bull, comes close behind with 189. In the last races, Bottas’ performance has not been the best, which gave the possibility of Verstappen touching the opponent.

On the builders’ side, the fight is for the third overall place.  With Mercedes champion and Red Bull vice, Racing Point, McLaren and Renault compete point-to-point for the best builders.  SĂ©rgio Perez’s victory and Lance Stroll’s third place in the last race made Racing Poin return to the third place he had lost to McLaren.  With 194 points, the team is ahead of McLaren with 183 and Renault with 172 points.

Recovered from Covid-19, Lewis Hamilton is back in the final race of the calendar.  The Brazilian Pietro Fittipaldi will make the second race in the category, in place of Romain Grosjean, who is still recovering from the serious accident.  The race will also mark the departure of some drivers of the respective teams: Sebastian Vettel, in Ferrari, Carlos Sainz, in McLaren, Daniel Ricciardo, in Renault, Sérgio Perez, in Racing Point, in addition to the departure of Kavin Magnussen, and most likely  Danil Kyvat from Formula 1.
