One-time matches of the Copa do Brasil has only three colors from Rio Grande do Sul guaranteeing victory.
Grêmio hosted Juventude, at the Arena, and won 1 to 0. Isaque rocked the net for the gaucho tricolor. Despite the defeat, the result is not final, since the next match will be at Alfredo Jaconi, at Serra Gaúcha. Juventude is one of the favorites to play next year’s Serie A. In fourth place, the team is part of the access group for the Brazilian soccer elite. The game will be on November 5th, and Gremio has a small advantage playing for a draw.
Palmeiras, still without a coach, had no difficulties and beat RB Bragantino, in Bragança, by 3 to 1. Raphael Veiga, Welsley, and Luiz Adriano put alviverde ahead in the first half. For Bragantino, Hurtado decreased. The two teams will meet again next Thursday (Nov 5th), at Allianz Parque, São Paulo. Bragantino’s mission is to win by at least two goals difference to take the match to penalties.
