Franchise Now Faces Milwaukee Bucks in Eastern Conference Decision
The underdog from the East is in the final. Away from home, the Atlanta Hawks beat the Philadelphia 76ers 103-96 in Game 7 and qualified for a Conference decision, something that hadn’t happened in six years. The opponent will now be the Milwaukee Bucks. The two teams already play the first game next Thursday.
Trae Young suffered with the shots, but hit decisive balls in the last period, which ensured the comeback. But the Hawks’ best was the unlikely hero, point guard Kevin Huerter, who scored 27 points.
Atlanta showed the power of the cast. Danilo Gallinari came off the bench and scored 17 points. John Collins scored 14 and got 16 rebounds. Chapel scored 13 points. Even with Bogdan Bogdanovic at the sacrifice, with just 4 points in 21 minutes, the team showed all versatility and was able to take off for victory in the fourth final, after 20 leadership changes and 19 draws in the duel
For the Sixers side, Joel Embiid had 31 points and 11 rebounds. Tobias Harris scored 24 points and Seth Curry contributed 16. But that was all. The entire bench and reserves of the team scored just 15 points. Despite 13 assists and 8 rebounds, point guard Ben Simmons had only 5 points in the game, with 2 hits in 4 pitches.
