He’s back: Mike Tyson takes to the ring this Saturday in a duel of titans

After fifteen years inactive, boxing legend faces Roy Jones Jr.

A career dipped in controversy. So is the journey of legendary boxer Mike Tyson who at 54, will face Roy Jones Jr., 51. The duel is being called the fight of the legends. On one hand, Tyson wants to prove that he is still the feared and unbeatable fighter. Throughout his career, there were 58 fights, with 50 victories, six defeats, and two battles with no final result. Of these victories, 40 were by knockout. A tie is not part of the ring monster’s curriculum.

Nicknamed Captain Hook, due to the power of the right hook, Jones has 66 wins on his resume, 47 by knockout, and only 9 losses. Jones seeks to reclaim the fighter status of the decade he acquired in the 90s. He is the only boxer in history to start his career as a middleweight and start winning a heavyweight title.

The epic duel that almost happened in 2003, and already has a date and time set. The two American beasts face off next Saturday (28/11), in Los Angeles, California. The fight will have eight rounds and the winner will receive the belt from the World Boxing Council
