Inter Milan face leaders Napoli in Serie A return

The Italian Championship returns to activities this Wednesday after the stop for the World Cup in Qatar. Inter Milan will face leader Napoli at the San Siro in Milan.

With a start to the season of ups and downs, the last runner-up is fifth in the table and is one place away from the direct qualification zone for the Champions League. Simone Inzaghi’s team has the return of one of the main strikers: the Argentine and world champion Lautaro Martinez. However, who should be left out is the midfielder Brozovic, due to an ankle injury

The Neapolitans are the undefeated leaders and count on the brilliance and talent of the Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to remain firm and strong at the top of the table. They have won all of their last six league games in a blistering start to the season by Luciano Spaletti’s men. Furthermore, the leaders must go into the match at full strength, as everyone is recovered and physically ready to play.

Prognoses:

Tie – Yes

Certainly, both teams have reasons to seek a hard-fought victory. If Napoli have high confidence and need to maintain their eight-point advantage at the top, Inter Milan want to at least be able to enter definitively in the dispute for a direct spot in the Champions League group stage. Thus, with both sides very ambitious, the expectation is that a very agitated draw will prevail on the scoreboard at the end of the game.

Total – Above 2.5

Of the last five matches played by Inter in the Italian Championship, in four the Nerazzurri team scored two goals or more. On the other hand, Napoli are in a phase where everything works out for their attackers, having the best offensive record in the league so far, with 37 goals. Thus, it can be assumed that there will be many goals in this Wednesday’s match.

Both Teams To Score — Yes

With very good offensive records recently, Inter Milan and Napoli will certainly have several chances to score goals in the first round match of the year in Serie A.
