Multi-champions for Milan, Andre Pirlo and Genaro Gatusso, will face each other today, at 17:00, Brasília time, at Città del Tricolore. Pirlo is looking for his first title as a coach. He took over the Old Lady after the departure of Maurizio Sarri, who was champion of the last Serie A. Gattuso, on the other hand, won the last Italian Cup by Napoli, just above his rival.
Juventus are trying to be Super Cup champions for the ninth time in history. The team is the biggest winner of the tournament and also the team with the highest number of vices: seven. Napoli, on the other hand, is looking for the third Super Cup trophy.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the main name of the Old Lady, who has the top scorer to lift another trophy. Dybala is still injured and does not play. De Ligt, Alex Sandro and Cuadrado with Covid-19, also miss the team. On Napoli’s side, the hope for goals is striker Lorenzo Insigne. Osimhen, with Covid-19, is out of the game.
Napoli and Juventus have played a very similar duel recently, although the Old Lady is the team to be beaten in Italian football. There were three wins for each side in the last six games between the teams. Last season, the Neapolitans won two of the three clashes they had with Cristiano Ronaldo’s team. The most important of them was the decision of the Italian Cup on penalties, as in the regular time the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
