Juventus in search of a turnaround over Porto to advance in the Champions League

By Gustavo Castilho

In the first game the Portuguese won and now they play for a draw

Juventus and Porto face each other at 17:00 GMT, in Turin.  In the first confrontation between the teams, at Estádio do Dragão, the Portuguese took the best and won by 2 to 1. For the duel soon, the team of coach Sérgio Conceição, plays for a tie to achieve the classification.  The score, repeating more favorably to Juve, will lead the match to penalties.  The Old Lady advances directly if she wins by 1 to 0 and / or scoring more than two goals difference, Ex: (3×1.4 x2, 5×3), this is because the weight of the goal away from home has “doubled weight”.

Behind Inter and Milan in the fight for deca in the Italian, the Champions became the hope of a title of expression for the Old Lady and for the coach Pilro, who makes the first season as coach.  For this, the Italians count on Cristiano Ronaldo.  In the third year of the club, the striker lives the most scoring phase in the teams.  He averages almost one goal per game, with 27 in 31 games.  In the first game against Porto he passed blank, but it is worth remembering that in the last two editions of Champions the striker scored goals in all playoff games, until he was eliminated by Lyon, in a game that, despite the elimination, also the  shook the nets.

For today’s match, the Old Lady will not be able to count on Dybala (injured), Bentancur (quarantined with the coronavirus) and Danilo (suspended).  Chiellini and Arthur are still in doubt.

Since the first game against Juventus, the team has taken the field four times: they have won two games, lost one and drawn the other.  Part of the crowd demands a better performance from the team, which goes in search of the third UEFA Champions League championship, which would make Porto the biggest Portuguese winner of the tournament.  Soon, Mbemba and Mbaye are out due to injury, Marcano is doubtful.
