English surpasses Michael Schumacher and becomes the driver with most F1 victories.
The Portuguese GP returned in style. After more than two decades without the country taking part in a Formula 1 race, the debut circuit of Portimão, in Algarve, was the stage of a historic event. Lewis Hamilton reached the incredible mark of 92 races won. The race was not easy, after a confusing start, the Englishman needed 20 laps to take the lead. The Mercedes achievement left the driver with the seventh title well underway. He now has 256 points, against 179 from second-placed teammate Valtteri Bottas. Formula 1 returns next weekend with the Emilia Romagna GP in Imola, Italy.
