Palmeiras and Ituano enter the field this Sunday, at 4 pm (Brasília time), at Allianz Parque, for the semifinal of the Paulista Championship, in a single game.
Owner of the best campaign in the group stage, Verdão won the right to decide the knockout at home. Palmeiras has not lost for 21 games at Allianz Parque (there are 15 wins and six draws since July 2022).
Semifinalist in the last 10 editions of Paulistão, Palmeiras is looking for its sixth final in the period, the fourth consecutive. Since 2014, Verdão has gone to the decision in 2015, 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022, being champion in 2020 and 2022.
Against São Bernardo, Abel surprised and selected Bruno Tabata among the starters, replacing Endrick. The choice was made thinking about São Bernardo’s style of play, which plays with three defenders. With the possibility of returning to play with Endrick as a reference, with Rony and Dudu on the sides, the Palmeiras coach has all the starters at his disposal.
At Ituano, the only casualty in relation to the duel against Ceará is midfielder André Luiz, involved in the suspected manipulation of results in Série B while playing for Sampaio Corrêa, which led to his removal from the group.
On the other hand, right-back Pacheco and defensive midfielder Lucas Siqueira have recently recovered from injuries that sidelined them for some time and are available to Gilmar Dal Pozzo. Only the midfielder, however, should start this afternoon, as happened in the middle of the week, against Ceará.

Palmeiras is, without a doubt, the favorite to win the Paulistão 2023 title. Being the only unbeaten player in the competition and owner of the best campaign in the 1st phase, Verdão, however, will not have an easy task, as they face Ituano, who did an excellent campaign and had the 2nd best campaign in the competition. Even so, it is a good guess to believe that Verdão will score at least two goals in the match.

Striker Rony has been one of the main offensive references on the part of Palmeiras. Scorer of the goal that qualified Verdão for the semifinals, Rony arrives with morale and it is a good guess to believe that the number 10 from Palmeir will be able to score at least one goal in the duel against Ituano.
