Teams kick off in search of Europe’s most important title
A solid defense and an attack that likes to score goals. In this duel of defense and attack, Sevilla and Borussia play soon, at 17h, Brasília time, in Hungary. The match is the first game between the teams in the competition stage.
The Spanish team, which is the biggest winner of the UEFA Cup with six titles, is now looking for the continent’s most coveted trophy. Sevilla ended the group stage in second place in group E, with 13 points, behind Chelsea. So far, there have been four wins, a draw and a defeat in the Champions League. Coach Julen Lopetegui will not have Jesus Navas, Lucas Ocampos and Marcos Acuna injured.
Borussia Dortmund’s list of absences is long. The German team will not be able to count on Roman Burki, Thomas Meunier, Lukasz Piszczek, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Axel Witsel, Thorgan Hazard and Marcel Schmelzer, all injured, while Marwin Hitz and Emre Can must continue in the goal on the side, respectively, due the absence of Burki and Meunier. The team ended the first phase in the leadership of group F, with 13 points. In six games, they recorded four wins, one draw and one defeat.
