The Ball rolls today in the quarterfinals of the Brazil Cup

Four games heat up the night in the first leg of the competition.

After a turbulent start this week, Flamengo returns to the field and under new command. After the departure of Domènec Torrent, Rogério Ceni arrives at the club with a very complicated task. Fate wants the first confrontation would be São Paulo. Flamengo and São Paulo will face off at Maracanã, at 9:30 pm, Brasília time. The rubro negro tries to recover the status of favoritism , due to the high potential of its cast and the conquests from a recent past. On the other hand, coach Fernando Diniz promises to get ready for the Rio club once again.

At the same time, Internacional and América-MG face off at Beira Rio, in Porto Alegre. Like Flamengo, Inter also has a new commander. Abel Braga took over Colorado after Eduardo Coudet asked to leave.

Earlier today it is Grêmio’s turn to take the field. The team faces Cuiabá, at Arena Pantanal, at 19h, Brasília time. Cuiabá is the big surprise of the competition. For the first time in history, a club from Mato Grosso state reached the elimination phase of Copa do Brasil.

Palmeiras receives Ceará at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo, at 4:30 pm, Brasília time. The team of the newly arrived coach Abel Ferreira, is another one that disputes three competitions in the season. Flamengo, Grêmio and Internacional complete the list. The return games will be next week, on November 18th.
