Tite summons 24 players to the next qualifying games

Lucas Veríssimo appears on the list for the first time. Gabigol, Daniel Alves and Fred return in the coach’s relationship for the games against Ecuador and Paraguay

The Brazilian team is summoned for the next two rounds of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022. On Friday (14), at CBF headquarters, coach Tite released the list of 24 players for the clashes with Ecuador and Paraguay. The matches are scheduled for the 4th and 8th of June.

With 24 players summoned, the list has a newcomer: defender Lucas Veríssimo, ex-Santos and currently at Benfica, from Portugal. In addition to the defender, other great news are the return of striker Gabigol, Flamengo, and full-back Daniel Alves, from São Paulo. Manchester United midfielder Fred was also recalled by Tite after two and a half years away from the national team.

Leader of the South American Qualifiers of the World Cup after the best start in the competition in more than 50 years, the Brazilian team is the first place, with 12 points won in four games played. It is the only team with 100% success so far.
