Teams face each other again next Thursday to see who gets the title
The ball still rolls across the lawns of Brazil. Although the main competitions organized by the CBF are already over, the calendar of some federations is still active. This is the case of the state of Tocantins, which will host today, at 4 pm (Brasilia time), Araguacema and Tocantinópolis in the first game of the final of the local championship. The match will be held at the Arena Taça stadium, in Araguacema. The return will be on the 30th, at the Ribeirão stadium in Tocantinópolis.
The hosts reached the final after tying with Interporto at 0-0. On penalties, Araguacema was scored, 10 to 9. In the first game, as officials started tied at 1 to 1.
Tocantinópolis, on the other hand, beat Palmas by a score of 3-1. In the first game, Tocantinópolis had also won 2-1.
The 2021 Tocantinense champion will be the State’s representative in the Copa Verde, Copa Brasil and Brazilian Serie D Championship in 2022, while the runner-up will be representative number 2 in the Serie D Brazilian Championship 2022, if CBF criteria.
