Today’s games define the last UEFA Champions League semifinalists

On the one hand Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund, on the other Real Madrid and Liverpool

Real Madrid will visit Liverpool soon, at 4 pm (Brasília time), for the return game of the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and may lose by a goal difference, which still qualifies. After the defeat by 3 to 1 in the first match, the English enter the field needing to win by 2 to 0 or to seek a triumph by three goals of advantage to advance.

For the decisive confrontation, coach Jurgen Klopp remains without the main defenders Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip. Jordan Henderson will also be left out due to the injury.

On the merengue side, coach Zinedine Zidane will not have Eden Hazard, with a muscle injury. Dani Carvajal continues to be treated with doubt. Whoever advances in the confrontation will face Chelsea in the semifinals.

At the same time, Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund face off in Germany. After having lost the first game by 2 to 1, Borussia enters the field needing to win by 1 to 0 or by any score by two goals difference to advance to the Champions League semifinals. Without absences, the German club goes with maximum strength for the duel. Top scorer of the competition with 10 goals, Haaland is the main hope for the team’s goals, and hopes to end the six-game fast without swinging the nets.

Pepe Guardiola’s men have the advantage of a draw. If they do, City will play a Champions League semi-final for the second time in history. Sergio Aguero and Aymeric Laporte are yet to be evaluated, while Fernandinho and Oleksandr Zinchenko are expected to start on the bench. The winner of the match faces PSG in the other semifinal.
