With a mixed team, Brazil is in a 1-1 draw with Ecuador

Chile or Uruguay, one of them will be the Brazilian team’s quarter-final opponent

The 1-1 draw with Ecuador ended the streak of 10 consecutive victories for the Brazilian team. With the classification and the first place in Group B of the Copa America guaranteed, coach Tite spared several holders, including Neymar, who was hanging.

Still in the first stage, Éder Mlitão, head, opened for the scoreboard. In the second half it was Ecuador’s turn to equalize the score with Mena. The tie guaranteed the Ecuadorian team’s classification for the quarter-finals.

With the first position in Group B, Brazil ended the group stage with 10 points. The team will wait for the outcome of Group A, which has two games this Monday. Among the four teams classified in the first group, the leader Argentina and vice Paraguay, with seven and six points respectively, have no chance of falling to fourth place. In this scenario, Chile and Uruguay are the possible opponents of the Brazilian team for the next phase. However, as Chile does not play in this last round, Brazil’s rival will be known after the Uruguay-Paraguay game.

With three points, Ecuador finished in fourth place, as Venezuela was also defeated by Peru. The Ecuadorians are also waiting for the opponent in the next phase, which could be Argentina or Paraguay
