With Neymar’s Hat Trick, Brazil defeats Peru and remains in the lead

Brazilian team defeated Peruvians by 4-2 for the second round of Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifying.

Another victory for the Brazilian team coached by Tite. His current track record is 50 games with 36 wins, 10 draws, and only 4 losses, which makes a total of 78.7% leading Brazil’s finest. The 4×2 score against Peru, in Lima, brought three more points to the Brazilian team that remains in the lead of the competition with six points, the same score of Argentina that trails due to the goal difference. Neymar (three times) and Richarlison, were the executioners of the Peruvian team, who scored with André Carrilo and Renato Tapia. With Neymar’s three goals, the current number 10 surpassed Ronaldo Phenomenon and became the second-highest scorer in the history of the national team with 64 goals, behind only Pelé who has 77.

Brazil’s next opponents for the World Cup Qualifiers will be Venezuela, in São Paulo, followed by Uruguay, in their capital Montevideo. Brazil is the leader with six points, followed by Argentina also six, Colombia and Paraguay with four, Ecuador and Uruguay with three, Chile and Peru with only one, and Venezuela and Bolivia have not yet scored.
